In the Dead of Night

In the dead of night, the raiders slither by;

A vicious platoon of freedom fighters,

Looking for the truth and all that comes with it

The sun peeks out from over the horizon as the sky

Melts into a soft orange, reflecting off of the marauder’s

Helmet visor and into the eyes of his comrade behind him

Their rugged, armored vehicles trudge through the desert plain

The loud diesel engines vibrating against the barren ground

Making their way to the truth and all that comes with it

The blank hours go by, and no words are exchanged

An unspoken objective is shared between everyone

The same agenda is on all of their minds
